Nepal: The cricket governing body announces Rs5 million in rewards to the senior national team for qualifying for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup and Rs 50,000 each to the members of U-19 cricket team for qualifying for U-19 Asia Cup.

rewards for the senior and U-19 national teams for their recent achievements.
Issuing
a press release, the cricket governing body said it will reward Rs5 million to
the senior cricket team “for their outstanding performance in the recently
concluded ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier and selection to the ICC T20
World Cup to be held in West Indies and the US next year”.
CAN
also decided to reward “each member of the U19 team with Rs50,000 for winning
the ACC Men’s U19 Premier Cup and securing their spot at the U-19 Asia Cup”,
scheduled to take place in January 2024.
The
U-19 team beat Japan by 143 runs in D/L method in the semi-finals on October 21
to secure their spot at the U-19 Asia Cup before clinching the trophy with a
19-run win over the UAE by D/L method. The Nepal U-19 cricket team have also
qualified for the 2024 U-19 Cricket World Cup scheduled to be held in January
and February next year.

also said half of the earnings from ticket sales of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket
World Cup final will be donated to the Jajarkot earthquake victims.
“Fifty
percent of the amount earned from the ticket sales of the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket
World Cup Asia Qualifier final will be provided to the victims of the recent
Jajarkot earthquake,” CAN stated.
The
national women’s cricket team will also be travelling to Hong Kong to take part
in the Hong Kong Quadrangular T20I Women’s Series, set to take place in
