Nepathya will grace the stage at The Palace Theatre in Calgary and The Vogue Theatre in Vancouver on October 1 and 4, respectively. The band’s final Canadian concert will be held at Toronto’s Massey Hall, which was designated a ‘National Historic Site’ in 1981, on October 8.

When Massey Hall announced that Nepathya would perform at the venue two months ago, writer Manjushree Thapa, who currently resides in Canadaexpressed her elation on social media, writing, “Toronto just got a whole lot cooler. I’ll always love Nepathya for helping young Nepalis (and the rest of us too) rock out during some very dark times during the Maoist war.”

Nepathya, which has been managed by Nepalaya since 2002, has performed at 78 stages in 28 cities across 16 countries. Canada marks the band’s 17th international destination.

In line with its ‘Music for Humanity’ theme, the band’s Canadian concerts, according to the organisers, also aim to promote human connection through music. Kiran Krishna Shrestha, the tour manager, predicts that the Nepali art market will flourish in Canada with the growing number of Nepalis settling in the country.

Amrit Gurung, the lead singer of the band, expresses gratitude for the excitement fans have showcased on social media for Nepathya’s concert in Canada.

According to the organisers, concert doors open at 5 pm local time across all three Canadian cities, with the show commencing promptly at 7 pm. Tickets for the shows are available on Nepathya’s website. Special discounts are available for students.
