cinema enthusiasts have been treated to a diverse selection of films at local
theaters, with two Nepali productions and a popular Hollywood
movie gracing the silver screen. The Nepali films 'A Saathi Sun' and 'Dakini'
have been joined by the action-packed Hollywood blockbuster
'Fast X' to captivate audiences.

'A Saathi Sun' is a romantic drama directed by Ramraghav Acharya
and features an ensemble cast including Varsha Sivakoti, Ramesh Baniyan, Ayan
Khadka, Sushil Pokharel, Jayanand Lama, Ramesh Adhikari, Krishma Khadka, Ivan
Sanjel, Bimala Giri, and others. Notably, this film marks the final appearance
of Jayanand Lama on the silver screen. Jointly produced by Bina Karki and
Santosh Kumar Rai, 'A Saathi Sun' is a production of Evan Entertainment in
collaboration with co-producer Sudeep Paudel.
'Dakini', a Nepali film that has garnered recognition at various
international film festivals, is set to enthrall Nepali audiences. Produced by
the esteemed Shatcon Arts banner, the film is titled 'Looking for a Lady with
Fags and Mustache' in English. Directed by Khinse Norbu (Jongsar Khinse
Rimpoche), the film is a product of the creative vision of Rabindra Singh
Baniyan and Max Dipesh Khatri. Director Rimpoche, renowned as a Buddhism
teacher, explores the depths of Buddhist mythology and scriptures, particularly
focusing on the captivating tales of Bajrayogini, the star-like goddesses known
as dakinis. Chiring Tasi from Vietnam and Tenzing
Kunsel from America portray
the leading roles in the film, both hailing from Tibetan origins. Accomplished
actors such as Karm, Divyadev, and Rabindra Singh Baniyan contribute their
talents to the production.
In addition to these captivating Nepali films, the Hollywood action film 'Fast X', directed
by Louis Leterrier, has been thrilling audiences. The movie stars renowned
actors Vin Diesel, Jason Momoa, Mitchell Rodriguez, and others. 'Fast X' serves
as the tenth installment in the highly popular 'Fast and Furious' franchise,
promising adrenaline-pumping action and heart-stopping stunts.
Film enthusiasts in Nepal have
embraced this diverse lineup of films, spanning romance, mythology, and action
genres. The screenings have provided audiences with an immersive cinematic
