In social service, Mr. Ojha's regular campaign

 Kathmandu: Kumar Prasad Ojha, born at Phidim, Panchthar district, is currently living in the capital of Republic of Nepal Kathmandu and is very active in social service. He has been devoted himself at the service poorest of the poor sad and helpless since his childhood. He was active in social service even in the district by writing in literature and journalism.

Mr. Ojha, who was found in Netuwa Basti of
Lumbini Cultural Municipality in Kapilbastu last month, is currently building a museum that reflects the cultural identity of the endangered community. Raute was the Central Secretary of the Endangered and Marginalized Class Upliftment Foundation of Nepal. He had been working in the journalism profession Since a long time. He also said that the organization has already started construction work by purchasing land for the museum to be constructed in 9 Talku of Dakshinkali Municipality of Kathmandu District.



Ojha considers his interest in social services as a campaign for social transformation. "It is my social responsibility to visit the villages and train and orient the youth and children, and to Conduct social work for the development of skills and abilities for women," says Mr Ojha.

He is a facilitator of the community schools of Solukhumbu or Gelu, Chisapani and Vijulikot of Ramechhap. Dolakha's Jiri, Mainapokhari and Sundravati. He said that he has been conducting programs in rural areas of dozens of districts from Melamchi of Sindhupalchowk, Sunkoshi to Nawise of Dhading or Battar of Nuwakot.



He is also a member of the Lions Club of Nepal Journalist. Even when living in the capital, he seems to be just as active. If there is a lack of blood in a hospital bed, his activity increases even more. When he gets the news from somewhere, he immediately starts calling and is ready to fill the gap always.

Talking about his experience in social service, he said, "I have been inspired in social work since my childhood by the inspiration of my mother Parvata Ojha and father Thakur Prasad Ojha." My father was in a government job and he always said, "Help the poorest of the poor and the helpless to love as much as you can, give whatever you can with your heart, words and deeds."



He and his organization have done remarkable social work, from feeding the homeless at the period of devastating earthquake to feeding the injured in various hospitals and open spaces in Kathmandu, to distributing relief materials in the blockade, and even in the wake of the Corona epidemic.

He has played an important role in the field of journalism, social service as well as film production. Recently, his Nepali film 'Dhandagiri' was in trouble because of Corona epidemic. The film did not earn well commercially. According to him, there was a plan to set up a fund for the treatment of children suffering from cancer with the money received from the screening of the film, but that work is still incomplete. "We will complete it in the near future," he said.

For this work, he was hired by director N.B. Anjan (Europe), filmmaker Kabu Chhetri (USA), actors Dinesh Khadka and Rajan Gurung and journalist Devraj Prasai will be assisting.

At present, Ojha's diary is being researched on forest products and herbs used by the endangered Raute community. Activism has also increased in the work of documenting and publishing the study of the cultural, social, economic and political environment of the marginalized Thami caste in Sindhupalchok district. Satyadevi Khadka, chairperson of RIMUF Nepal, praised Ojha, Saying that he is a social engineer, saying, "Kumar Ojha is one of the exemplary youth who uses his youthful vigor to serve the underprivileged equally."

Journalism

Mr. Ojha, who started her career in journalism in 1952 BS, has worked in Nepal Samacharpatra, Spacetime, Nagarik, Gorkhapatra and dozens of weekly and magazines. He has also worked for a long time on Radio Sagarmatha and Nepal Television. Ojha, who has been publishing a weekly newspaper from Panchthar district as the current editor, had left the print media after leaving for Kathmandu and entered into online journalism. Under his editorship, dot com digital magazine has been in operation online for a long time. Currently, he is continuing the online called 'Sancharagram' and is preparing for the monthly publication of 'Sancharagram'.



He is a member of various organizations related to journalism. He is the Central General Secretary of the Democratic Journalists Forum and is also active in journalism.

Active in agriculture Production

Along with literature, journalism, social service and film production, his interest at the field of agriculture is also seen continuous. A group of seven youths including Ojha has formed Pathibhara Advanced Farmers Group to produce pesticide-free vegetables in Suryavinayak of Bhaktapur keeping in mind the impact of increasing pesticides on vegetable food produced in Kathmandu Valley.




Upendra Keshi, Ward Chairman of Suryabinayak 9, said that the work done in the group has made the local farmers aware that the use of pesticides in vegetables can be reduced. In an effort to emphasize organic production, youth groups are now active in the Kathmandu Valley. The group of youths is also working on how to easily deliver the vegetables produced by the farmers to the kitchen of the consumers always.
