'Ular' being staged from April 20

 Nepal: A play based on author Nayan Raj Pandey's popular novel 'Ular' is being staged from April 20. The play, conceived and directed by Che Shankar, will be staged at Kausi Theater in Teku.

 


The play, which is being staged by Garden Theater in collaboration with Katha Ghera, stars Sarita Giri, Sabir Charaute, Arun Sharma, Sanjay Gupta and Shekhar Chapagain. Che Shankar has previously directed plays such as 'Same Time Next Year', 'Look Back in Anger', 'Thirst', 'She Is Not Dead', 'Why Someone Is Ruined', 'Mr. Fox and School Boy '.


 

Published 25 years ago, 'Ular' is the story of the struggle of the marginalized people woven in the environment of Nepalgunj. According to director Che Shankar, the story of the novel read as an important work of author Pandey and the issues raised by it are relevant in today's Nepali society. The play, which has been in rehearsal for more than a month, is being staged from April 20 to May 02.
