(Drama Dhakiyame Citizenship Audience review)
Imagine for a second you were transposed into the karmic driven world of Earl. How horrible it would be to be a stateless person on one's own soil and live apart from one's various incomes and relationships due to lack of citizenship may be unimaginable but many Nepalis in Madhes have been suffering from mistrust, discrimination and oppression of state power and its structures on the basis of color, language and region.
Drama Dhakiyame Citizenship is the story of the innocent lives of Madhes and Madhesis who have been living as non-citizens on their own soil for years.
While watching the drama Dhakiame Citizenship, those who have heard of Madhes but have not seen it closely, are deeply aware of the oppression, discrimination and inconvenience of Madhesis. Although the play tries to make the audience laugh from time to time, the compassionate scenes and dialogues of the characters' uncomfortable situations keep hitting them with tears.
The play not only tells the story of harassment but also asks rebellious questions. He points the finger at the weakness of power. Indicates that the situation is the same and will not remain the same.
